Hillriver specialises in the design, manufacture and distribution of electronic based products for the automotive alternative fuels industry. The business was formed in 1980 with products being exported worldwide and used by several vehicle manufacturers including Citroen, General Motors, Peugeot, Subaru, VW and many of the leading suppliers and manufacturers of autogas equipment including, Eurogas, Groot, Icom, Impco, Prins, Teleflex & Vialle.

In February 2004 the Vectragroup acquired a share in the company enabling Hillriver to take advantage of a worldwide manufacturing base.

The Vectra Group of companies are a diverse global group of companies whose activities include manufacture of construction equipment, trucks, buses and automotive parts. The Vectra group is also involved in the offshore helicopter industry and commodity trading.

The Vectra Group encompasses 18 companies (including investments) in 6 countries. It has 8 manufacturing facilities, mainly in Eastern Europe and India, which it has set up through joint ventures and investments.
